Granby Police Investigation Leads to Two Suspects in Recent House and Car Breaks

On April 18th officers began investigating a larceny from a residence. That investigation, conducted by Patrolman Jason Richard, lead to several other incidents in which unlocked vehicles had been entered and property had been stolen. Officer Richard’s investigation lead to several property items being recovered. He was also able to develop two suspects and is charging them with numerous offenses. To date, the suspects will be charged with approximately 15-20 offenses. The offense list is still growing.
Any residents in Town who have items missing from vehicles or whose vehicles have been disturbed, in the last week or two, are encouraged to call the department.
These incidents prompt us to remind residents how important it is to lock both your vehicles and your residences. Nearly all of the vehicle breaks that we have investigated in the past several years have involved unlocked vehicles. Please safeguard you properties by securing as best you can. Also, please do not hesitate to call the police department if you observe something out of the ordinary in your neighborhood.
